29% of the children residing in Dallas are living poverty, and of those children ages 0 to 3 from single parent households are the hardest hit. For comprehensive change, ilooklikeLOVE focuses our programming on two vital issues pertinent to young families; diaper insufficiency and single parent sustainability. Use of this integrated approach creates healthier babies and empowered parents through a support system that reasserts a sense of hope for families experiencing the distress and feelings of inadequacy that come when diapers and the resources to get them are limited.
MOBILE DIAPER PANTRY
As an ilooklikeLOVE Signature Program, the Mobile Diaper Pantry provides diapers, wipes and other baby care essentials to families who need them. Our cornerstone, "Diaper Days @ WIC", is an initiative of where as an Authorized Auxiliary Provider for WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) ilooklikeLOVE distributes in collaboration with Dallas WIC 50 diapers and wipes to participating WIC families. As many as 130 babies have been served during a single "Diaper Day" event.
"Pop-Up" Pantries occur monthly on 3rd Fridays at one of two WIC clinics located in Southern Dallas (Ledbetter and MLK). The Ledbetter WIC is the largest clinic in the city of Dallas, and the MLK clinic (located at the Martin Luther King Center near Fair Park) sits in the most impoverished community in the city. In 2018, ilooklikeLOVE distributed 38,150 diapers to 616 families in 2018. Our goal for 2019 is to distribute 50,000 diapers to 800 families. We are preparing to expand to 4-6 clinics by Spring 2020.
COMMUNITY MENTORING TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
In 2018, ilooklikeLOVE also instituted a mentoring program for single mothers where they have been guided towards personal and financial empowerment through a series of group sessions and oneon-one mentoring. Starting Fall 2019, we are expanding our emotional and financial sustainability model to include a network of like-minded organizations working together to address the barriers to sustainability of the home from a holistic perspective. We call it "community mentoring".

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
A product of the Dallas community, Founder Phillipa Williams was impassioned by the kindness shown to her as a young single mother during times of financial challenge. While raising her young son years ago, acts of love from loved ones and even strangers in the community not only allowed her to rebound, but instilled a sense of hope and a desire to pass the power of love on to other women in general, and young mothers in particular. As a result, she developed a grass-roots effort to address the realities of childhood poverty called “ilooklikeLOVE.”
Phillipa’s experience is extensive in operations and faith-based leadership. Armed with over 30 years’ experience in service to the community as a leader, trainer, strategist, mentor, and teacher, she transitioned in 2015 with the birth of ilooklikeLOVE.
Through ilooklikeLOVE, Phillipa continues her work inspiring women to embrace their identity, cultivate their authenticity, and build personal strategies towards personal and financial sustainability.
